About Excel Timber

Excel Timber was founded on a belief that's become rare in the building game: do what you say you'll do, charge what you quoted, and finish every job to a standard you'd accept in your own home.

Kristian started in the carpentry industry fifteen years ago and has spent the years since working across Melbourne: framing new homes, building decks and pergolas, renovating tired spaces and learning that the difference between a good job and a great one comes down to care. The details nobody notices at handover are the ones that decide whether your deck is still solid in fifteen years.

Today, Excel Timber works with home owners across Melbourne's northern suburbs and Greater Melbourne. Some clients need a fence. Some need their whole backyard transformed. Either way, they get the same thing: straight answers, a fair price, and workmanship that lasts.

We turn up when we say we will, keep you informed and leave the site tidy. Every time.

Excel Timber is based in Thornbury and works across Melbourne's northern suburbs, from Preston, Reservoir and Coburg through to Brunswick, Northcote, Heidelberg and Bundoora. Being local matters on a building job. It means Kristian can look at your site quickly, quote accurately, and be on the tools when he says he will.

Most of our work comes from home owners who want one carpenter they can trust with the whole job: framing an extension, building a deck and pergola, recladding a tired facade or replacing a fence. We service Greater Melbourne, so if your suburb is not one of those, get in touch anyway. Chances are we cover it.
