Do I need a permit for a deck in Victoria?
It depends on size and height. Many low-level decks don't require one, while larger or elevated decks generally do. We'll assess yours at the quote stage and tell you exactly what's needed.
What's better: Merbau, hardwood or composite?
There's no single answer: Merbau is the value-for-durability favourite, native hardwoods look spectacular and age well, and composite wins on zero maintenance. We'll help you choose based on budget, look and how much upkeep you want.
How long does a deck take to build?
Most residential decks take between a few days and two weeks on site depending on size, height and detail. You'll get a realistic timeframe with your quote, and we stick to it.
Can you build around a pool or spa?
Yes, including the compliance considerations that come with pool areas, like barrier and gate requirements.
Do you repair existing decks?
We do. Sometimes a tired deck needs re-boarding on a sound frame; sometimes the frame's the problem. We'll give you an honest assessment either way.
